Liz Kimball is a creator, writer, creativity and performance coach, director, and speaker. Founder of The Collective for Women Creators, Liz is devoted to bringing more three-dimensional women-driven stories, leadership teams, and art into the world,
Having spent over two decades as a dancer, actor, and director, she performed and directed all over the country and received critical acclaim and multiple awards for her work. Now she creates multi-dimensional human stories, directs transformational experiences, and supports successful creatives and professionals in playing bigger and doing the work they were born to do.
She speaks on the creative process, self-actualization, nonlinear career paths, the intersection of creativity and human development, and the art and practice of being seen, heard, and known. Co-founder of a 2-year program in Artist Entrepreneurship at The New School for Drama, she has been a lecturer and/or guest speaker at NYU, The Lee Strasberg Institute, The Clive Davis School of Recorded Music, Temple University, One on One, The Atlantic Theatre School, The Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts, Upright Citizens Brigade, Mount Holyoke, The Guggenheim Museum, and the 9/11 Museum and Memorial. Liz is d and her clients and students have gone on to sell pilots, book Broadway shows, make award-winning films, land recording contracts, launch successful businesses, get jobs in TV writers’ rooms, and be accepted into top festivals and fellowships.
Liz graduated magna cum laude with a dual degree in English and Theatre from Northwestern University, and summa cum laude with an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin. She has trained at the Coaches Training Institute and is certified in Transformational Coaching through Leadership that Works. She has worked with The Grace Institute, and Girl Be Heard, both organizations dedicated to advancing women in a variety of entrepreneurial and creative capacities, and is a fierce advocate for electing more women to public office.
Her writing has been published on Oprah.com, W42ndSt Mag, and For Women Who Roar, and she explores the complexities and possibilities of creativity, courage, and connection on her blog.
