Where womxn creators build the new world

WELCOME TO THE COLLECTIVE—an online network where intelligent, imaginative, talented, progressive creators come together to create change through creative excellence.
Become a member

I see you.

You’re a visionary womxn, a creator, a change-maker.*

You’re standing at the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship during a time of great reckoning and awakening. A time where your voice, your vision, your art,  your feminism, and your future-shaping work need a platform (and a bullhorn).

If the thought of making uncompromising and exciting work that takes a stand on a daily basis sounds like coming home—The Collective is where you belong.

Want more good news? You’ll be surrounded by others who are doing the same—month after month, year after year.

*Note about womxn and the use of x: This is a space for all who call themselves woman—trans and non-binary people are welcome here.

Dana J. Ferguson

"It’s amazing to have circle of compassionate and supportive women, and a coach like Liz who is deeply empathetic, and makes you feel like it is okay to be exactly where you are, and also like it’s totally possible to get where you want to go. If you think you are on the precipice of something special, but you need courage to lean into it, then this is the place for you. It’s important, and it’s profoundly valuable. You need this, it’s like air."

Dana J. Ferguson
Actor, Writer

Let's talk for a moment about the next chapter of your creative work...

Tell me:
Are you ready to take the lid off your creative process and make the work that is calling to you?
Are you looking for a sounding board of creative colleagues who are ambitious and accepting (and putting their work in the world consistently)?
Are you beyond frustrated with the status quo of your industry and know it’s time to do things differently? And in more inclusive ways?

If you’re holding a pen, a brush, a scene, A SWOT Analysis, a crystal, a microphone and nodding your head “Yes!” and feeling your heart open—The Collective is for you.
Most importantly, are you ready to stop waiting for permission, move beyond the fear, and claim your birthright as a creative?

Let's give ourselves the green light, shall we?

"It's like grad school for my creative goals."
CarolinE moore, Content creator

Here's what I believe:

The world needs more of your stories, ideas, leadership, and art.

You are here to create the new world.
You are here to shape culture.

As an artist, entrepreneur, CEO, activist, healer, and visionary womxn, you are here to pave a new way, a new path, a new revolution.

Because we can no longer wait for permission for what we were born to do.

But when you make this courageous choice to stop waiting and step into your power and purpose, you need support—a radical level of support that you've never received before.

That's where we come in. We are devoted to helping womxn change the world with their creativity.

Specifically, we help you to:

1. Actualize your (most alive) creative work
2. Amplify that work to the audiences who need it
3. Design new, sustainable systems that effectively support (not oppose) your values, rhythms, and creative dreams.

We do this through personal and professional development (from experts who get it), curated resource sharing (intentionally streamlined: we aim to save you time, not overwhelm you with content), and loving and supportive accountability & alliance-building (because it’s neither fun nor effective to do your big work alone).

Since 2016, Collective members have proved that we move forward faster—and more joyfully—together.

Period.

"I joined The Collective for a new perspective. I am a heart centered engineer with mad financial skills. I was developing my entrepreneurial platform and getting stuck making the transition from corporate to entrepreneur. Liz’s incredible creativity and leadership, opened the floodgate. If you have great skills yet are having trouble pivoting, Liz’s work is both catalytic and expansive."

Kim Griffin

"I joined The Collective several years ago, at a point in my life when it seemed like nothing had “turned out” the way I’d envisioned. I was lonely and stuck and feeling disillusioned when I found Liz and fell completely in love with her authenticity and mission. What’s unique about The Collective is that it is facilitated by Liz, but it is not ABOUT Liz, which can be the vibe with many coaches and guides and leaders. The Collective has provided me an opportunity to show up for myself and for other women—equap parts coaching, class, church, brunch with my badass friends, and a TED Talk that has been deeply healing and inspiring. Minimal financial investment, incalculable positive impact. I can’t stress enough what a gift it has been to be a part of this community."

"Since joining The Collective I’ve booked a network television show, several independent films, and am on the precipice of working with a new and improved management team. There is a lot of supply in this business for people who can tell you what to do, and I haven’t found those groups to be effective or supportive, but this is a group where I walked in and realized I’m actually getting what I need, and I’m getting it from a supportive group of women.
This space is really safe, really uncompetitive, and really effective for finding different parts of your artistry that can feed you. You gotta have it."

It's time to greenlight your stories

…and change your relationship to your creativity (and yourself) forever.

Most of us have been taught to have a conditional, disempowered relationship with our creativity. Caught between being told we are simultaneously “too much” and “not enough,” we’ve been trained that our most important job is to respond (not create), that we are most valuable supporting other people’s creative projects (instead of our own), and that someone else gets to determine what, how, and when we make our work.

But not only is it your birthright to reclaim a sovereign, whole, and abundant relationship with your creativity, it’s the key to building a future that allows everyone to flourish.

The Collective is a supportive network without the shame-based practices you’re constantly working against in industry, media, and the world at large. It’s here to help you deliver your best work and sharpen your professional practice that will ground you every step of the way.

Bottom line? The Collective is one part creative incubator, one part progressive mastermind, and one part sisterhood, to help you actualize and amplify your stories, ideas, and art in the world and enjoy the process of doing so.

It’s political; it’s woo; it’s practical.

Are you ready?

Join the collective

Since joining The Collective our Members have...

  • Published books
  • Started movements
  • Booked shows on Netflix
  • Attracted next-level managers and reps
  • Directed & produced feature films
  • Made their first hire
  • Built their teams
  • Launched coaching practices, podcasts, & dream businesses
  • Run for public office
  • Received their first artistic commissions
  • Doubled their revenue & net worth

Together they’ve also…

  • Become each other’s collaborators
  • Edited each other’s work
  • Promoted each other’s work
  • Healed their bodies
  • Created supportive professional boundaries
  • Fostered real friendships
  • Shared resources
  • Strengthened their professional networks

And pointed each other to the forest through the trees when the thicket feels unbearable…

This is a community that’s about lifting one another up and moving past the “hustle-culture”  that supports bigger, better, faster, more.

If this sounds like a place you want to call home for you, your work, and the creative ideas you were born to bring into the world—I invite you to join us.

The Collective is for you if you find yourself whispering (or shouting) "Yes" to even one of these statements:

1.

You’re ready to make your big creative work.

2.

You believe in collaboration and that there’s room enough for us all. You feel a call to a form of feminine leadership that allows everyone to flourish.

3.

You’re ready to replace pleasing, sacrificing, and accommodating, with playing big and unabashedly committing to your own greatness, creativity, and expansion.

4.

You’re done with the lack of inclusivity and equity in history, media, and entertainment. You find the lack of female CEOs unacceptable. You believe every country should elect a compassionate progressive womxn president (#JacindaArden).

5.

You’re interested in a feminist model for your creative practice and business where play, pleasure, profit, purpose, and prolificity* are not mutually exclusive.

6.

You bring delightful energy to a group, and you enjoy helping other womxn rise and championing their successes.

7.

You understand that the next chapter of your creative career will require nuance, investment, and time. You are over the easy fixes and one-size-fits-all 10-steps to someone else’s version of success. You are searching for a frontier that is uniquely yours—hungry for greater depth, capacity, truth, excellence, wholeness, and complexity—and  you crave a space that allows you to bring the fullness of who you are as you do (instead of only certain packaged bits).

8.

You believe none of us are free until all of us are free. You are actively antiracist and you stand with the movement to dismantle the white heteronormative ableist ageist patriarchy.

9.

You are multi-faceted. You are ready to respect your intersections and multitudes like the superpowers they are.

10.

You are exhausted by staring at a million unfinished projects. You are ready to COMPLETE things. You are ready for things to be HANDLED.

11.

You are ready for your work to become more widely known. (In a way that honors your boundaries and doesn’t make your stomach turn). By your peers. By your future collaborators. By your audience.

12.

You love (or at least tolerate) a good community dance break. Even the awkward ones on Zoom.

*Prolificity (yes, it’s a word): n. The quality of producing abundantly. Creative power.

Your voice and vision is needed. Now. More than ever before.

"I wish I had been in The Collective for the last ten years, because I feel like I would be in a really different place in my life. I don’t know of any other forums like this for creative women; it has pushed me and grown me in a way that I never could have imagined. Not only that, but during my time in The Collective, I have started a business I actually love, and doubled my income in the past year. I have met amazing women I never would have met, my joy, creativity, and intuition have all increased, and I leave each meeting with frameworks and ideas I never would have considered. It is a privilege, and it will change your life."
Sammy tunis, photographer/musician/actor

Let this be the year...

That you write the thing that won’t stop talking to you AND double the revenue from your business.
Or go all in to launching the thing AND start taking real days off.
Or give yourself permission to be the artist AND the CEO.
Because the next chapter of our human story will be written and led by womxn. (This means YOU).
Which is why every aspect of our container is designed to empower you in your professional practice of bringing your vision, ideas, and influence into the world.

Untamed and amplified.

(without sacrificing your body on the altar of whatever it is that you are making)

FAQ

I want to gift a Collective membership to someone else. Can I do that?

Thank you for your question and for being one of the generous people making this world more equitable. And—yes! We have had people do this before. As long as the person wants to receive the membership and is ready to commit wholeheartedly to their own development, you are welcome to gift The Collective to someone you know, or sponsor one of our gift memberships. Email hello@lizkimball.com to set it up.

Do I get access to Liz?

Yes! One of the benefits to joining The Collective is that you get access to Liz at a fraction of what it normally costs to work with her. As a member, you have the opportunity to be coached by Liz in the monthly calls. Once you are a member, you also have the opportunity to apply for The Collective Incubator (intimate small group 9-month coaching program) and The Collective Mentorship (9 month 1:1 coaching partnership with Liz). Liz also releases a very limited number of 1:1 sessions for Collective members to book at a special members-only rate. Do know that as The Collective continues to grow, we may be integrating more coaches into our programming—so the sooner you join, the more opportunities you will have to work with Liz herself.

Why should I join The Collective?

Because you’re feeling creatively burnt-out or like you’ve hit a plateau. Because you are curious about how transformational coaching and community could impact your life. Because you know it’s time to name and claim your ideas and creations, and treat them like the intellectual property they are. Because giving yourself consistent time and space to step back and look at your creativity and business will change your life. Because it’s much easier to divest from patriarchal conditioning in community. Because you are having trouble making time for and completing the things that matter most to you. Because you want to be in a space where both your ambition and your desire for peace can coexist. Because you’ve downloaded too many courses you are not using and you are ready to get into action. Because you’ve heard Liz say that when womxn gather, magic happens, and you want to know it for yourself. Because you want to create days that make you proud and a body of work that makes you prouder. Because you want to develop a work process that works with — not against — your biology…but you don’t know how to do it. Because your vision is so big it takes your breath away. Because you desire to build wealth. Because you are ready to end the war with time. And creativity. And you are ready to trust yourself again. Need more reasons? We could go on…

Do you offer scholarships?

Yes. We acknowledge the systemic injustices that continue to keep certain groups undercapitalized and economically marginalized and, in an effort to contribute towards rectifying this issue, we offer a limited number of full and partial scholarships to womxn in the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, womxn with a disability/disabilities, neurodiverse womxn, and other underrepresented groups who genuinely need this financial assistance.  Convincing us of your need is not necessary, simply contact us at hello@lizkimball.com and we will get in touch. We also periodically announce additional scholarship opportunities – make sure you are on Liz’s mailing list to be notified.

What happens in a Collective meeting?

Our signature Collective meeting includes reflection & alignment tools, gold reports, resource sharing and brainstorming, accountability, goal-setting, and guidance from Liz. Often, we will utilize breakout rooms to deepen connections and integration.

The Monthly Coaching call includes the opportunity for several members (usually 2-3) to receive business, mindset, or creativity coaching from Liz and optional feedback from the group.

Creator Studio is like guided co-working—with a framework and prompts from Liz, creative sprints, and space for you to create in real time in the company of other creators.

Powerclasses are offered in a workshop format, usually with time for questions at the end.

All Collective meetings happen online on Zoom and replays of all of our events are always available in the portal.

When are the meetings?

The Collective Meeting happens monthly on Wednesdays, around the new moon (usually the 2nd Wednesday of every month), at 2:30 pm ET. Creator Studio happens on the last Friday of every month at 2:30 pm ET. The Monthly Coaching Call is usually the 3rd Wednesday at 4pm ET, and Powerclasses are scheduled as we go. All call dates and replays are published in the membership portal. Many of our members are not able to attend some or all of the meeting times, nut enjoy watching the replays. We also have bonus offerings and surprises…

I am looking for specific advice within my industry — will this work for me?

One of the intentions of The Collective is to bring womxn together from different backgrounds and industries so that we may rise higher together. You can find a wide variety of industry-specific learning opportunities elsewhere, but we have found that opportunities to cross-pollinate, and intentionally grow and expand together at the intersections are quite scarce.

The Collective is strengthened by the diversity and pursuits of its members – multi-faceted, ambitious womxn playing big and making waves including entrepreneurs, authors, healers, directors, producers, painters, photographers, bloggers, coaches, actors, dancers, choreographers, copywriters, teachers, activists, playwrights, podcasters, movement makers, founders, speakers, professors, course creators, and many intersections in between…

It’s quite likely you will find other members of the Collective who are in your industry, and we encourage you to find each other, and share resources, best-practices, and experiences.

I live outside of the US. Can I still join?

Absolutely! We welcome members from all over the world.

I am committed to All Lives Matter. Can I still join?

We stand firmly with the Black Lives Matter movement. So…no.

Do you offer refunds?

The truth? No one has ever requested a refund in the history of The Collective. Most of our members have been growing with us for several years. But if after a month of attending the live calls, connecting in the member community, absorbing the content in the portal, and diving in and participating fully you feel that this community is not what you were looking for—you may email us to request a refund. Life is too precious to spend your time and money in the wrong place.

Is it completely virtual? These photos look like people are gathering in person without masks. What’s the deal?

These photos were taken last year at our December event. Prior to COVID-19, The Collective included live gatherings a few times a year. Currently, all of The Collective offerings are virtual, and we are exploring the depth and breadth of connection in the digital space (we are pleased to share that it is working!) We do hope to gather in person again one day when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we share these photos because we love celebrating our members and their friendships and collaborations.

I don’t want to shape the future. I just want to finish writing this novel. Can you help me?

We hear you. Sounds like that novel is ready to be born! A core aim of ours is to provide you the resources, coaching, and accountability to complete your creative work. However—know that we believe that art and stories shape the world—so just by completing your novel, we believe you are contributing to our collective evolution. Sound good?

I am in the corporate world, but I want to expand my creativity. Can I still join?

Absolutely. We have several members who are in the corporate world, and some have even had their employers pay their tuition. The only requirement for joining is that you are committed to developing and expanding your own creative voice and visions…

How is The Collective different from other programs?
  1. Most programs are focused solely on a specific area of either craft, making money, or visibility. We offer coaching and learning in all three areas because we believe compartmentalizing your growth is one of the reasons you may not be seeing the results you desire. All of the best magic happens at the intersection.
  2. Most programs are focused on specific industries, but we have learned that  creative womxn experience greater individual and collective expansion when they can cross-pollinate in community with colleagues from different fields.
  3. We are focused on individual AND collective expansion, because we believe the two cannot be separated (do you see a theme here?). We believe the inner and outer work must happen simultaneously for real change to occur.
  4. We are committed to helping you evolve your creative process and practice of bringing your creative work into the world through a feminist lens. Many of the ways we have been taught to relate to our creativity involve burnout, blame, and shame. We believe there is a better way that we all know but have been taught to forget. Our work is dedicated to remembering how to have a pleasurable relationship creativity.
  5. We do not believe you should spend all of your time in a Facebook group or absorbing our content. We work very hard to give you the resources you need without overwhelming you with content, and we strive to create a balance of learning, coaching, inspiration, and SPACE.
What is a Creator Goddess Warrior Queen?

After the 2016 election, I was on a solo walk in the woods, trying to figure out how we were going to get through the next four years, and I asked myself: what is the opposite of the Patriarchy? And I heard a voice inside of me say: A society led by Creator Goddess Warrior Queens.

I call the powerful, knowing voice inside of me The Creator Goddess Warrior Queen, and part of our work in The Collective is about remembering how to listen to that voice (regardless of what you want to call it). Collective members call each other Creator Goddess Warrior Queens (CGWQs, for short), because when we can see and name the power, creativity, beauty, and strength in other womxn, we can more easily see and name it in ourselves.

Why did you start The Collective?

1. Because I was searching for a community that was like the intersection of a sisterhood and a mastermind, and I couldn’t find it anywhere.

2. I felt like it was the most effective way I could oppose the Trump Presidency.

3. Because I believe the world becomes more peaceful, fun, and effective when we have more womxn-driven stories, ideas, leadership, and art.

I have a question not answered here. What do I do?

Email hello@lizkimball.com. We can’t wait to hear from you.

I know what it's like...

…to see something before you are able to actualize it, and I know what works (and what doesn’t) when making your big work and getting people to pay attention. (Think of me like a doula + trainer + strategist for your creative work).

I have devoted the last ten years to helping over 1000 womxn launch their creations into the world. I’m also an award-winning creator, certified transformational coach, entrepreneur, mama, lover of democracy, and relentless enthusiast.

I created The Collective because I couldn’t find this kind of space anywhere, and I bring everything I am learning and practicing in my own life to this community. I believe you found this page for a reason, and if you are ready to step into the next chapter of your creative life amongst a group of badass creators—I can’t wait to work with you. There is room for all of us in the new world, and it is wildly better when we build it together.

"The Collective shifted everything for me"

I've started a business, I've followed through on self-producing my own choreography, I trust myself, I'm more in touch with creativity and I feel a sense of calm about the future. I feel more in touch with my body, my visions, my ideas, my higher self. I now know how to get my ideas through a cold night. Because of this community, I've moved from someone who 'doesn't have follow-through' to someone who shows up wholeheartedly for herself and others out of a deep sense of self-trust. I would still be running in circles without Liz's insight and guidance— her questions and feedback have a way of shining a light on a narrow path you never dared observe or walk upon. I always leave Collective calls feeling like more is possible plus I am equipped with action. The possibilities keep expanding. My gratitude is endless. The Collective has shifted everything for me, and has been the lighthouse in this storm of a year.
